David was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His music influences started at a young age and included everybody from Merle Haggard to Metallica. He has enjoyed the last 15+ years playing bass for a variety of bands. He moved to Nashville in 1995 and spent 4 years honing his craft of playing and writing. He recorded his first album with a band called Buck 50. This was an Americana/Red dirt band. They had mild success with the album. He retuned to Tulsa in summer of 1999 and joined a band called Earthbound and subsequently recorded his second album with them. This band was more of a pop-rock band with sounds like Creed and Stone Temple Pilots. Since then, he has fronted the band Cactus Jones and now lends his talents on bass to Hillbilly Gruv Machine.
Dave also is the owner/producer/engineer of Bronze Hand Studio which is also home to Bronze Hand Records, an independent record label with one artist on the roster at the moment.
